We had the cake out for everyone to see at the party because it was so amazing we wanted everyone to be able to enjoy it before they ate it. Everyone who walked in commented on how amazing the cake looked, and obviously the kids loved it too!!! My sister and I asked Denise to create a beautiful and original cake for our parents' thirtieth wedding anniversary celebration.  Not only did the cake soar beyond our expectations, but it was absolutely delicious as well. Denise took my "vision" of a cake and created something so beautiful that my guests were commenting on the cake all night. Denise's ability to pull a rough idea together into a beautiful design is truly a talent!

The Graduation cake you made for our party brought Oohs and Aahs from our guests. Your depiction of the NYU Torch was perfect in its dimensions and color. The Vanilla/Raspberry filling was a great compliment to the sour cream cake. It surpassed my expectations and my friends are still talking about it.

I requested a special cookie order and Denise paid attention to every detail. She checked with me before she even ordered the cookie cutters to make sure they were the shape I wanted. I was able to check updates on my cookies via her twitter page (@dmakescakes) and Instagram account. I was traveling via public transportation and to make sure all my cookies were safe, Denise specially wrapped them in airtight containers (which came in handy since they were reusable!). Each cookie made their way back home safe and sound. I picked them up almost a week early but since they were in the airtight containers the cookies stayed just as fresh and yummy as the day she made them! Thanks Denise!

As a returning client, I knew Denise Makes Cakes would be able to create the perfect engagement dinner cake for us. Once again Denise did a great job recreating an edible image from a photo I sent to her. The cake was so beautiful I didn't want to cut it! We loved the vanilla pound cake, raspberry preserves and vanilla buttercream combination. The cake was moist and the fillings were light and sweet. I am a firm believer in fate. My daughter's Bat Mitzvah was looming and I had not thought of the dessert course. I knew she wanted something different. Denise Makes Cakes recently created two unique cakes for a special event hosted by Fordham University honoring Catholic Church leaders. One cake featured a beautifully detailed Papal coat of arms and the other was a red Cardinal's beretta. Our guests were both impressed with the beautiful detail in the cakes and the delicious taste! In addition to being available for several cake consultations, Denise conducted her own research to determine the correct dimensions of a real beretta. We were delighted with the whole experience. We will definitely use Denise Makes Cakes for future special event needs.

The cake Denise made for our college was amazing. It was so realistic both students and faculty were stunned, and it made our event. The attention to detail was great, not to mention how good it tasted once we cut into it. I hesitate to even call it a cake, because it was a work of art.
